Partnerships and Providers





1. School2Home Endowment     
          Beyond mere partnership, Central Middle School was fortunate to be selected, along with Stevenson Middle School in Los Angeles, to be the recipient of this endowment. Keep up with Stevenson progress through their monthly newsletters. Also view Central Middle School's monthly S2H newsletter.
          School2Home works with under-performing middle schools to provide students and their families with a laptop to use at school and at home. The goal is to improve the academic performance and digital literacy of students by strengthening parent involvement in education. Through School2Home, teachers receive valuable professional development regarding ways to integrate technology into the classroom. School2Home also provides parents with technology training regarding ways to use their laptop to learn with their child and be more involved in their child's school.








2. The Children's Partnership
          Mission: "The Children's Partnership works to ensure that all children—especially those at risk of being left behind—have the resources and the opportunities they need to grow up healthy and lead productive lives.
          "The "Digital Opportunity" initiative works to, "Ensure that every child can benefit from the educational opportunities afforded by computing devices and the Internet."



          Mission: "CETF provides leadership statewide to close the "Digital Divide" by accelerating the deployment and adoption of broadband to unserved and underserved communities and populations."






4. SmartRiverside "Digital Inclusion"
          Purpose: "The SmartRiverside Digital Inclusion Program is a program designed for bridging the Digital Divide in our local community. Low-income families do not have the available resources to take advantage of new technologies that can assist in improving their education, communication and overall quality of life."

Digital Inclusion Forum: "A cooperative initiative of the Wireless Internet Institute, IBM, Intel, Microsoft and One Community, the Digital Inclusion Forum is a comprehensive resource center to inform, educate and share best practices among state and local government leaders, industry and institutional stakeholders on identifying and implementing sustainable market solutions to bridge the digital divide in North America."


 5.The California Technology Assistance Project (CTAP) is another excellent source of technology support, tailored to the specific needs of the varying regions of the state.






6. CISCO Networking Academy
          Mission: " Cisco Networking Academy is a global education program that teaches students how to design, build, troubleshoot, and secure computer networks for increased access to career and economic opportunities in communities around the world. Networking Academy provides online courses, interactive tools, and hands-on learning activities to help individuals prepare for ICT and networking careers in virtually every type of industry."






7. Riverside Unified School District technology support
